As human beings, we are constantly seeking to expand our understanding of the world around us. Whether it's through scientific discovery, artistic expression, or spiritual exploration, we are driven by a desire to push the boundaries of what we know and discover the unknown. With this new piece of work, THOUGHT FORMS (12023), we will explore the concepts of the astral plane, and the ether, and how they relate to personal growth and creative expression. We will also examine how these ideas have influenced the creation of this new album, and the potential impact it may have on inspiring others to explore the unknown.
The concept of the astral plane is a fascinating one, as it is said to be a realm of existence beyond our physical reality. It is believed to be a place where our thoughts and emotions can manifest as tangible entities, known as thought forms. These thought forms can take on a life of their own, and can influence our experiences in both positive and negative ways. Personally, I have had several encounters with the astral plane and thought forms. One experience that stands out to me was when I was meditating and suddenly felt a strong presence in the room with me. As I opened my eyes, I saw what appeared to be a humanoid figure made entirely of dark swirling energy. Although it was an unsettling experience at first, I soon realized that this was a manifestation of my own thoughts and emotions. By acknowledging its presence and understanding its origin, I was able to dissipate the energy and gain a deeper understanding of myself. Exploring these unknown realms can be a powerful tool for personal growth and expansion of consciousness. By confronting our fears and delving into the unknown, we can gain a greater understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe.
The ether is a concept that has been explored throughout history, from ancient philosophy to modern quantum physics. It is believed to be a medium for energy and vibration, and is said to be the source of all physical matter. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the idea of accessing and manipulating the ether to create new frequencies. This has led to the development of "new" (old) technologies, such as sound healing and frequency therapy, which are designed to promote physical and emotional healing by altering the vibrational frequencies of the body. The impact of these new frequencies on personal and collective consciousness has yet to be fully understood, but there is evidence to suggest that they can have a profound effect on our well-being. By tapping into the power of the ether, we may be able to unlock new levels of creativity and spiritual growth.
The exploration of the astral plane and ether has had a significant impact on the creation of this new album. By drawing on personal experiences and insights gained from these realms, the music has taken on a new depth and complexity. Incorporating new frequencies and vibrations into the music has also been a key part of the creative process. By experimenting with different soundscapes, film/photos and tonalities, the album seeks to create a unique and immersive listening experience.
"One of the most interesting of the highroads from the physical to the astral is that of the study of thought. The Western scientist, commencing in the anatomy and physiology of the brain, endeavours to make these the basis for "a sound psychology." He passes then into the region of dreams, illusions, hallucinations; and as soon as he endeavours to elaborate an experimental science which shall classify and arrange these, he inevitably plunges into the astral plane. Dr Baraduc of Paris has nearly crossed the barrier, and is well on the way towards photographing astro-mental images, to obtaining pictures of what from the materialistic standpoint would be the results of vibrations in the grey matter of the brain."
